Warner Bros. Discovery, ESPN, and Fox collaborate to introduce a sports super-streamer

Three major sports broadcasters are joining forces to establish a comprehensive streaming platform, consolidating their sports assets into a single digital hub—a significant and previously unimaginable shift as the industry swiftly migrates from traditional television to streaming services.

Disney's ESPN, Fox Corporation, and Warner Bros. Discovery revealed on Tuesday their plans to introduce the new service in the autumn.

This platform, with each company holding a one-third stake, will grant users access to a wide array of sporting events, encompassing NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and FIFA World Cup games, as well as NASCAR races, UFC bouts, and PGA TOUR Golf tournaments.

Details such as subscription pricing and the platform's official name were not disclosed by the companies, with further information anticipated closer to the launch date.

The collaboration among the three media giants was hailed as a pivotal moment for the industry.

Notably absent from the partnership were NBCUniversal and Paramount Global, both of which operate their own streaming services featuring sporting events.
