Police have reported that a security guard was shot at Drake's home in Toronto

A security guard working at Drakes home, in Toronto, Canada was shot, as confirmed by authorities on Tuesday.

The police received a call 2 a.m. Time on Tuesday and found a man who had been injured. He was taken to the hospital in condition according to Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Toronto Police during a press briefing.

"It is so early in the investigation that we don't have a motive at this time," said Toronto police Inspector Paul Krawczyk.

The victim is a 48 year man whose identity has not been revealed yet. He suffered serious but non life threatening injuries from the shooting. Reports suggest that he was standing outside Drakes property when the shooting took place.

It is not clear if Drake, who is 37 years old was present during the incident. Authorities mentioned that the person or people responsible for the shooting left in a vehicle.

When asked about any connection between the shooting and the ongoing dispute between Drake and rapper Kendrick Lamar Krawczyk stated that no motive has been determined far. He also mentioned that there were individuals involved in the incident and investigators are reviewing footage of what happened.
