After seven years together, Mariah Carey and her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, split up
Tanaka, a dancer and creative director, announced on social media on Tuesday that he and the superstar singer had split after seven years together.
"With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together," he said in a statement. "Our decision to go our separate ways is mutual, and as we embark on these separate journeys, we do so with profound respect and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we've shared." The memories we've made and the artistic collaborations we've done will live on in my heart forever."
Tanaka and Carey first met when Tanaka joined her The Adventures of Mimi tour in 2006.
Tanaka did not join Carey on her Merry Christmas One and All! tour, prompting fans to speculate about their breakup.
