Set accident kills Marvel's 'Wonder Man' crewmember

According to a statement from Marvel Studios, an unnamed crew member involved in the production of the forthcoming Marvel series "Wonder Man" passed away on Tuesday due to an accident on set.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” a Marvel spokesperson said in a statement.

The crew member, identified as a rigger, reportedly fell from the rafters.

"Wonder Man" was slated to feature Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in "Aquaman" and HBO's "Watchmen." Wonder Man, a character from Marvel Comics introduced in the 1960s, was the focus of the series.
