Kevin Jonas, who recently underwent skin cancer removal, is urging people to visit their physicians.

“So today I am getting a basal cell carcinoma removed from my head,” Jonas said as he pointed to an area on his forehead. “Yes, that is an actual little skin cancer guy that started to grow and now I have to get surgery to remove it.” he explained in a video taken from his car while on his way to have surgery.

The skin cancer known as basal cell carcinoma, according to the Mayo Clinic, "occurs most often on areas of the skin that are exposed to the sun, such as your head and neck."

Jonas later showed himself in the car, bandage on his head and he announces that he was heading home to “to heal.”

The performer urged followers to seek skin checks after the operation. “Make sure to get those moles checked, people,” the pop star said.
