Drake releases his album and declares that he will be taking a medical leave of absence
Drake revealed shortly after the release of his most recent album that he intends to take a long break from the spotlight in order to prioritize his health.
During his Friday morning appearance on SiriusXM's Sound 42's "Table for One," the artist declared, "I probably won't make music for a little while."
“I need to focus on my health, first and foremost. … Nothing crazy, but just, like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life,” Drake explained.
He went on to say that his stomach was the source of the problems.
“I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m going to do that,” Drake said. “So, I’m a lock the door in the studio for a little bit. I don’t even know what a little bit is, maybe a year.”
Along with the song, "8 AM in Charlotte," from his recently released album "For All the Dogs," the rapper also unveiled the music video. Adonis, his 5-year-old son, introduces the video by describing a drawing he did.
With collaborations from Bad Bunny, SZA, J. Cole, Lil Yachty, and 21 Savage, "For All the Dogs" is a collection of 23 songs.
