Taylor Swift postpones concert in Rio de Janeiro due to high temperatures

Due to the excessive heat, Taylor Swift confirmed that her concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday has been postponed.

"I'm writing from the stadium's dressing room. Due to the high heat in Rio, it has been decided to postpone tonight's event, Swift announced on her Instagram story on Saturday.

“The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers, and crew has to and always will come first,” she added.

 The choice was made the day after a fan passed away in front of her Friday concert in the same city.

The National Institute of Meteorology in Brazil reports that Swift's debut performance in Rio de Janeiro, which is now experiencing high temperatures, took place on Friday.

According to her website, Swift will play in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday before moving on to Sao Paulo for three more shows.
