'All by Myself' singer Eric Carmen dies at 74

According to his website, Eric Carmen, the previous lead singer of The Raspberries and performer of "All by Myself," has passed away at the age of 74.

“It is with tremendous sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Eric Carmen,” a post on his website says. “Our sweet, loving and talented Eric passed away in his sleep, over the weekend.”

The cause of death has not been disclosed. Carmen served as the frontman for The Raspberries, a pop-rock band of the 1970s. Following the band's disbandment, he pursued a solo career, achieving success with songs like "All by Myself" and "Hungry Eyes."
