Kelly Oubre Jr., the guard for the 76ers, returns to the team's practice space three days after being hit by a car
Three days after being hit by a car that fled the scene in downtown Philadelphia and breaking his ribs, 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. made his way back to the team's practice facility on Tuesday.
“He’s in good spirits,” Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said before facing the Indiana Pacers in an NBA In-Season Tournament game. “He rode the exercise bike for a little bit. So far, so good.
Nurse was one of the Sixers team members that visited Oubre at his residence not far from the accident location on Monday, the team's off day.
At 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, Oubre was clipped by a silver car's driver's side mirror while crossing the street, according to Philadelphia police. Oubre sustained many cuts, a broken rib, and other injuries.
