A.J. Brown has signed a $96 million, three-year contract with the Eagles
Before the 2024 NFL Draft Ian Rapoport, an insider, from NFL Network revealed on Thursday that Brown and the Eagles have agreed to a three year contract extension $96 million. This deal makes Brown the paid receiver in the league.
The extension includes a $84 million guaranteed setting a record for wide receivers in NFL history surpassing Amon Ra St. Browns recent $77 million guarantee from the Detroit Lions. Furthermore the average annual value of $32 million over three years is the highest among all receivers in the NFL.
This extension comes two years after the Eagles traded for Brown, a three time Pro Bowler from the Tennessee Titans during draft night. Signed him to a four year deal worth $100 million. Brown has consistently delivered performances by achieving over 1,400 receiving yards in each of his two seasons with the Eagles and scoring a total of 18 touchdowns.
In his season Browns exceptional performance led to him being named as a second team All Pro and earning his Pro Bowl appearance. He caught a career 106 passes, for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns. In a feat he managed to break an NFL record by gaining, over 125 receiving yards in six back, to back games during the year 2023.
