The Spanish tennis federation has announced that Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will compete together in men's doubles at the next Olympic Games in Paris. The event is scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 3 at the famous Roland-Garros clay courts.

Nadal, who has claimed the French Open title 14 times and is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, will pair with Alcaraz, who recently won his first French Open.

Despite a first-round exit at this year's French Open, Nadal previously secured Olympic gold in men's singles at Beijing in 2008 and in men's doubles at Rio de Janeiro in 2016. The upcoming games will mark Alcaraz’s Olympic debut.

Alcaraz, who has long admired Nadal, will have the opportunity to chase Olympic gold with his lifelong idol.

The team representing Spain in the men's doubles will include not only Nadal and Alcaraz but also Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovich, Marcel Granollers, along with Sara Sorribes Tormo and Cristina Bucsa in the women’s events.
