A year after retiring from tennis, Roger Federer says he has a ‘beautiful life’
In the little more than a year since he announced his tearful retirement from the professional game, Roger Federer claims to be leading a “beautiful, intense life.”
Speaking on Friday at the Laver Cup in Vancouver, Canada, the 20-time grand slam champion shared candid insights about the previous 12 months.
As he sat on the court for an interview with Jim Courier, a former American tennis player, Federer joked that he was now his four children's "professional driver," "an organizer and a logistics man so it's definitely a test on completely another level."
Tennis player Roger Federer, simultaneously declared that he "misses everything about the game, the exciting moments spent on court, the break points saved, winning match points, holding up trophies, walking past fans, and taking selfies."
At the Laver Cup last year, Federer played a doubles match with his longtime friend and adversary Rafael Nadal, capping an incredible career that included more than 1,500 matches, 103 singles titles, and 20 grand slams.
