At least 6 people were hurt in an apparent house explosion in Austin, Texas

Multiple individuals were injured Sunday when a two-story house exploded in Austin, Texas, after witnesses reported hearing a massive explosion, according to officials.
The Austin Fire Department said that the two-story house in northwest Austin fell at 11:25 a.m. local time.
"A two-story house sustained damage from an unknown event that caused the house to collapse," fire officials said in a social media post.
Firefighters said that at least 15-20 residences had been destroyed in the vicinity. The electricity is off in the nearby region due to broken power lines. Fire authorities have advised people to avoid the area.
The explosion was so powerful that it was audible in the Austin suburbs. The police department in Cedar Park, about 20 miles north of Austin, stated it was heard and felt throughout the city; Austin Fire Department division chief Wayne Parrish confirmed that it was also heard in adjacent Georgetown.
Power went off in the region about 12:30 p.m. owing to damage to power lines caused by the explosion. Electricity has been restored to all households that are safe to do so.
Emergency personnel are currently investigating the cause of the explosion. The Texas Gas Service confirmed that the residence did not have natural gas service, but did have propane. The explosion was audible as far north as Georgetown.
