Ford is calling back more than 230,000 Explorers because they could roll away
Ford is recalling some types of the Explorer from 2020 to 2022 because they could roll away if the parking brake isn't used.
Among the cars being recalled are 238,364, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It said that a "disconnected driveshaft" could make the car roll away, which could lead to an accident.
The group said that Ford would fix the cars for free. The business will change the rear axle bolt and suspension bushing and look for damage in the rear axle cover. On November 6, Ford will send letters to impacted owners to let them know. People who own Fords can also call customer help at 1-8669-436-7332. 23S55 is Ford's number for this take-back.
Ford recalled more than 870,000 full-sized F-150 trucks in July because the automatic parking brake could become active at any time, even while the truck was being driven. That might make you lose control, which could lead to an accident.
