Police report that a shooter and two victims have died at a Las Vegas law office
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that two individuals were killed in a shooting at a law office in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas on Monday morning.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill stated during a news briefing that the male suspect also died by suicide. The victims were identified as a man and a woman.
Police have not determined the relationship between the suspect and the victims.
Authorities were alerted to an active shooter situation on the fifth floor of a six-story building at 10801 West Charleston Blvd around 10:00 a.m. PT.
According to McMahill, the community is no longer at risk, but hundreds of individuals who were in the building at the time are still undergoing evaluation after being evacuated.
McMahill also mentioned that officials are actively examining the suspect's vehicle. However, a motive for the shooting has not yet been established.
