2 injured in shooting at Fort Collins mall, according to police

Police in Fort Collins are investigating a gunshot outside the Foothills Mall Saturday evening that injured two individuals.
The two victims were sent to a neighboring hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
Police were still investigating the location on Saturday night and hunting for suspects, but no one had been apprehended as of 8:30 p.m.
According to the police department, a 911 caller reported a gunshot on the mall's walkway at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Police arrived promptly and proceeded to secure the building, informing locals that the mall had been closed and asked them to avoid the area.
"Police are investigating multiple leads, utilizing camera footage, witness statements and anybody who was inside the mall at the time," said J Gilmore, communications and public relations manager for Fort Collins police.
Police have not stated if the shooting was targeted.
People stated on social media that other adjacent establishments had locked down during the police probe.
Police announced around 6:30 p.m. that they were securely releasing people who had been sheltered within the mall.
Nearly an hour later, police reported that two patients had been sent to the hospital and that "there is no indication that there are any additional victims."
The Fort Collins Police Services Criminal Investigations Division is still investigating the incident and following up on leads. Police were anticipated to remain in and around the mall throughout the night while they investigated the situation.
