Senator from Maine reports that federal, state, and local authorities are looking for the shooter suspect
It was a "dark day" for Maine, according to Senator Susan Collins, when a mass shooting in Lewiston left at least eighteen people dead and thirteen injured.
Collins claimed the "heinous attack" is the worst mass shooting to occur in Maine at a news conference on Thursday, along with other state legislators.
For the culprit in the shooting, a large-scale manhunt is under way. Robert Card, 40, is wanted on eight charges of murder, according to authorities, and is being sought by several law enforcement agencies.
Collins stated that not only are officers from the ATF and the Coast Guard searching for Card, but also at least eighty agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
