2 dead, 7 injured, including police officer in Miami-Dade County shooting

Two people were killed and seven injured in an early Saturday bar shooting in a popular Miami neighborhood outdoor mall.

A security guard intervened in a CityPlace Doral martini bar fight around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, according to local police. After the fight, a man shot and murdered the guard.

One cop and six civilians were wounded in the shootout before police shot and killed the alleged gunman.

Two onlookers were in critical condition, but the cop was stable after being shot in the leg.

A man the gunman was arguing with was arrested.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating local police for force.

"It’s too early to tell who was shot by who but we’re actively investigating that incident," a police official said Saturday.

A CityPlace Doral representative declared it a "isolated incident," and it has increased security. It closed the mall's south parking garage and Plaza Fountain shops. The north half of the complex opens at 6pm today, it stated.
