NASA publishes a report on UFOs and claims that additional research is necessary to comprehend them
No indication that unidentified anomalous phenomena, also known as UAPs or UFOs, are of a "extraterrestrial" nature was found by an independent panel of scientists and specialists assembled by NASA, but it was emphasized that more information is required to comprehend those encounters that have baffled explanation.
In order to better contribute to the scientific understanding of the objects, which have been observed by hundreds of military and commercial pilots, NASA assembled the committee of 16 scientists last year.
The 36-page final report from the committee, formally called as the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study, was released on Thursday. It included many recommendations for how the space agency may use its scientific know-how to support the government's investigations into the mysterious objects.
The main finding of the study, according to NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, is that there is still a lot to learn. The NASA independent investigation team did not discover any proof that UAP originated from another planet. However, we are unsure of what these UAP are.
