Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan arrived in Florida after leaving Romania

Andrew Tate, a right-wing influencer, and his brother Tristan arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after flying from Romania on a private plane on Thursday, according to the brothers' publicist, Mateea Petrescu.
The Tate brothers, who hold dual US and UK citizenship, had already been barred from leaving Romania after being detained in 2022 and accused with rape and human trafficking. They have denied any wrongdoing.
After a travel prohibition was removed, the brothers flew privately from Romania to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on Thursday. Andrew and Tristan Tate are dual nationals of the United States and United Kingdom.
Tate said to the media outside Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida on Thursday after arrival.
"We live in a democratic society where it’s innocent until proven guilty, and I think my brother and I are largely misunderstood. There’s a lot of opinions about us that go around on the internet. We’ve yet to be convicted of any crime in our lives ever. We have no criminal record anywhere on the planet," he said.
He further stated that he and his brother were permitted to leave Romania since there is "no active indictment" barring them from returning to the United States.
In a second statement, Joseph McBride, an attorney for the Tate brothers, stated that the brothers had filed a defamation claim against persons who accused them of human trafficking. He stated that after prosecutors authorized the couple to leave the country, they did so legally.
"Andrew and Tristan plan to return to Romania at the end of March to meet with the prosecutor before returning to the United States," the statement reads. "They feel secure in America for several reasons, the primary one being that Donald Trump is the President. As a result, they are excited to call America their home again."
Romanian officials lifted the ban after the US allegedly pressured Bucharest to relax restrictions on Tate, a self-proclaimed misogynist with a large online following and a cause célèbre on the American right.
In addition to accusations in Romania, Andrew Tate is facing legal action in the United Kingdom from four women who claim he assaulted and coerced them before gaining a large internet following. Tate rejects the charges.
Tate, who rose to online celebrity in recent years, amassing billions of views on TikTok with diatribes about male supremacy, feminine obedience, and money, was banned from practically all social media sites until Trump's now-adviser Elon Musk took over X and restored his account.
In Romania, the first criminal case against Tate and his brother collapsed in December when a Bucharest judge refused to begin the trial due to errors in the accusation.
In January, a Romanian court removed Tate's home arrest order, replacing it with a less severe preventative measure. In October, a judge determined that he should be able to reclaim luxury automobiles worth around €4 million ($4.43 million) that had been taken by prosecutors pending the investigations.
