Iranian President Raisi claims that Israel has "crossed the red lines" in Gaza
According to Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, Israel has "crossed the red lines" in Gaza, which "may force everyone to take action," he stated on Sunday.
"Zionist regime’s crimes have crossed the red lines, which may force everyone to take action. Washington asks us to not do anything, but they keep giving widespread support to Israel," Raisi said in a post on social media.
"The US sent messages to the Axis of Resistance but received a clear response on the battlefield," Raisi stated.
According to experts, Iran may not be fully in control if the militias it supports in the region intervene on their own if Hamas takes significant losses and the death toll in Gaza keeps rising, even while it is cautious about getting drawn into the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Early on following Hamas's October 7 strikes in Israel, concerns were expressed over Iran's possible role in the murders. Although Tehran at the time praised the operation, it moved quickly to disavow any involvement.
