At least 80 dead in catastrophic Texas floods

At least 80 people have died in connection with the flooding, according to Texas officials. The death toll includes at least 28 children in Kerr County, where 11 girls and one counselor are still missing from Camp Mystic, authorities said.
Forecasters on Sunday afternoon said more flash flooding was possible in areas of Central Texas where hundreds of emergency responders, desperate family members and volunteers raced to rescue survivors of the catastrophic deluge that killed at least 80 people, including 28 children.
At least 41 people were still missing, officials said on Sunday, while 28 of those found dead had not yet been identified. Officials claimed that the damage was progressively becoming clearer.
The risk of flash flooding Sunday evening has increased in the Texas region that was hard-hit by Friday’s storms.
Scattered thunderstorms are ongoing in the same region that flooded Friday morning. The storms might bring several inches of rain, maybe even 4 inches or more, by midnight.
