Erin's strength stayed the same during the last few hours.  The National storm Center said that it is still a Category 2 storm with winds that stay at 110 mph.

The storm is moving north at 13 mph and is around 335 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.

The strongest outer rainbands of Erin are still roughly 100 miles from North Carolina's Outer Banks. But ocean conditions at the coast are expected to start deteriorating soon, the hurricane center warned.

Officials in North Carolina are stressing how dangerous the storm is and telling people in evacuation zones to leave before things get worse tonight.

Erin is still expected to strengthen back into a Category 3 hurricane later today.
