1 dead, 11 others injured in North Carolina overnight shooting

The Catawba County Sheriff's Office said that one person died and 11 people were injured in a mass shooting at a home in Catawba County early Sunday morning.
The Catawba County Sheriff's Office said., that the shooting took place at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday at a residence on Walnut Acres Drive in the Mountain View area of Catawba County, N.C.
The sheriff's office claimed that one person is in critical condition and ten others are in severe condition at a nearby hospital. The shooting also killed one person.
As of this release, twelve victims have been reported," the sheriff's office said. "One of these reported victims is deceased. Another of these reported victims is in critical condition. Several others remain hospitalized."
The Hickory Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are looking into the shooting. The FBI is also helping with the probe. No arrests have been made and the number of shots fired is not yet known.
The Sheriff's Department has not released the victims' names or ages.
Investigators said there were as many as 100 people attending a house party at a home on the street when one or more people discharged firearms, WSOC-TV reported.
