5 soldiers were shot at Fort Stewart in Georgia

On Wednesday, five troops were shot at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia, according to base officials on social media. They reported that the police caught the shooter around 40 minutes later.
The base claimed that the troops were treated at the site and then evacuated to an Army hospital. It didn't say what kind of injuries they were.
The base, where the 3rd Infantry Division is based, claimed that the shooting happened in the region of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team. Fort Stewart is home to around 8,800 people. It is about 40 miles southwest of Savannah.
A police officer said that the person who opened fire at Fort Stewart today is a soldier. Authorities stated they caught the guy and he is no longer a threat.
A source in law enforcement said that the person who shot at Fort Stewart is 28 years old.
The Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield claimed that the five troops who were shot were first treated on post and then sent to Winn Army Hospital. It reported on Facebook that the shooting happened in the "2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area."
