A senior US general and the Israeli defense minister talk about a possible Iranian attack
Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and US Central Command Commander Gen. Erik Kurilla conferred on Friday regarding preparations in anticipation of a potential Iranian assault on Israel.
Gallant's office stated that discussions revolved around "preparedness for a potential Iranian attack on the State of Israel, which could potentially escalate the situation in the region."
Post the meeting, Gallant praised Kurilla as "a genuine ally of Israel" and expressed gratitude for the United States' support.
Gallant emphasized, "Our adversaries may believe they can drive a wedge between Israel and the United States, but in reality, they are only strengthening our bond and bringing us closer together. We stand united."
The meeting took place at the Israeli Hatzor Air Base near Ashdod in the Southern District of Israel.
