According to the Israeli defense minister, Hamas broke the deal to bring back two children and fifteen women
During a press conference on Saturday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that Hamas is to blame for Israel's breach of the ceasefire.
"Hamas explicitly violated the agreement we reached with the US, Egypt and Qatar," Gallant stated.
According to Gallant, the truce between Israel and Hamas broke down because Hamas had promised to return the remaining 15 women and two children but had not done so.
In response to Hamas's assertion on Wednesday that two young children, Ariel, 4, and Kfir Bibas, 10, had perished in an Israeli airstrike, Gallant merely pointed out that the children had previously been seen in photos.
"Hamas said he would bring women and children, but 17 have remained behind. We require all 17—two Bibas children and fifteen women—stated Gallant.
"This is their obligation because we agreed on it," he stated.
According to Gallant, IDF operations in Gaza won't end. The minister of defense went on to say that the IDF's operations in Gaza will not end.
