The Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health reports over 5,000 Gaza deaths since October 7

Since October 7, at least 5,087 people have died and 15,273 have been injured in Gaza, according to a report released on Monday by the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health in the occupied West Bank.

Meanwhile, since the Hamas strikes and Israeli reaction, at least 95 Palestinians have died and 1,828 have been injured in the occupied West Bank.

According to the ministry, there have been 250 strikes on the Gaza Strip's health system, depriving a sizable percentage of the population of access to quality medical care.

The ministry also issued a warning about the potential effects on the health system, claiming that ten of the 35 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, or 28% of them, are currently closed. Nine of these have been "renderd out of service or destroyed." Over 90 people have been hurt and 54 more health professionals have left the field. According to it, ambulances have also been impacted; 23 are currently out of service and 50 have been hit.
