The US secretary of state claims that a Hamas attack in Israel claimed the lives of 33 Americans

Thirty-three Americans were killed in the October 7 Hamas attack in Israel, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

This is one more death than the State Department reported on Friday.

Earlier Tuesday, US officials indicated roughly ten Americans were still missing, with "about a handful" being held by Hamas.
