Our goal is to extend this fighting pause beyond tomorrow, says Biden

US President Joe Biden said his administration wants to extend the Gaza truce to free detainees safely and deliver more relief to civilians.

Biden said he and Netanyahu will stay "personally engaged to see that this deal is fully implemented and work to extend it, as well." I've advocated a pause in the conflict for weeks to enhance aid to Gaza people and release hostages."

Biden claimed the Israel-Hamas accord was "structured so that it can be extended to keep building on these results."
