The US is considering different choices for a maritime corridor to send aid to Gaza, the Pentagon says

According to Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder on Tuesday, the US and its international allies are thinking about creating a marine corridor to deliver aid to Gaza.

“In coordination with the US interagency and international partners, we are actively reviewing options for a maritime corridor for humanitarian assistance into Gaza, including potential commercial and contracted options,” Ryder said. “I don't have more to announce at this time regarding what that would be.”

Ryder went on to say that the US Agency for International Development is spearheading government coordination efforts, and that the US military will be "only in a supporting role."
