Grand Theft Auto VI will launch in 2025, according to the official teaser
A copy of the much awaited Grand Theft Auto VI trailer leaked online, thus it arrived a little early.
About 15 hours ahead of the scheduled Tuesday morning premiere, Rockstar Games provided the first glimpse of the highly anticipated sixth installment in the popular video game franchise on Monday night, blaming the leak.
Just after 6 p.m. ET on Monday, Rockstar Games posted on X, the previous Twitter site, "Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube."
Even so, die-hard GTA fans managed to glean some information from the ninety-second teaser, such as the fact that the upcoming game will take place in Vice City, which is modeled after Miami, and will feature Lucia, a female protagonist for the first time in the series. The video's conclusion verified that the game won't be available until 2025.
Rockstar Games and Take-Two announced on Monday that the sixth chapter will be accessible on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X'S devices.
