Singer Cassie has accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of years of rape and abuse in a lawsuit

A lawsuit filed Thursday accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of abusing and raping Cassie for years.

Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, sued Combs in New York federal court, alleging that he brought her into his “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle” shortly after she met him and signed to his label in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37.

Attorney Ben Brafman said Combs “vehemently denies” the charges.

Ventura, 37, said Combs, 54, started abusing her immediately after their relationship.

The suit claims he attacked her “savagely” with punches, kicks, and stomps due to his “prone to uncontrollable rage.” He allegedly gave her medications and forced her to have sex with different men while masturbating and filming.

As she tried to stop the relationship in 2018, Combs assaulted her in her Los Angeles home, according to the suit.

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” Ventura said in a statement.

Ventura's lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, said Combs promised her "eight figures to silence her and prevent her from filing this lawsuit." She rejected his efforts and spoke up for all silent women.”

His relationship with Ventura lasted over a decade, starting in 2007.

Combs pioneered hip-hop's biggest empire with multiple organizations under his name. Bad Boy Records founder and three-time Grammy winner has worked with Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, and 112.

His fifth studio album, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” received two Grammy nominations this month.
