One day after it was filed, Sean "Diddy" Combs and singer Cassie settled a lawsuit alleging abuse
One day after the lawsuit was filed, singer Cassie announced on Friday that it had been settled. The lawsuit included claims of abuse and beatings by music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Douglas Wigdor, the lawyer for Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, released a statement announcing the settlement.
The statement claimed that they had come to an arrangement "to their mutual satisfaction" on Friday night, but it did not reveal the specifics of the accord or specify that any other comments would be released apart from the ones made by Ventura, Combs, and Wigdor in the lawyer's email.
Ventura added in her statement: "I have chosen to settle this dispute amicably under circumstances over which I have some degree of control. For their steadfast support, I would want to thank my family, fans, and attorneys.
"We have decided to resolve this matter amicably," Combs stated. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”
