The Los Angeles Chargers have fired their general manager and head coach

After losing to the Raiders, the Los Angeles Chargers dismissed head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco a day later.

On Thursday night in Las Vegas, the Chargers lost 63-21 to the Raiders after trailing 42-0 at halftime.

NFL.com reported a Raiders franchise record for points and a Chargers franchise worst for points allowed.

“I want to thank Tom and Brandon for their hard work, dedication and professionalism, and wish both them and their great families nothing but the best,” Chargers owner Dean Spanos said Friday.

“These decisions are never easy, nor are they something I take lightly – especially when you consider the number of people they impact.

“We need new vision because we are not where we need to be. Doing nothing for continuity was not a risk I would take.”

The announcement claimed that an interim head coach and general manager will be announced soon.

The Chargers (5-9) are bottom in the AFC West with three games left.
