An extradition hearing on murder charges against Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the New York City murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson last week, was held Tuesday afternoon.

Before a hearing on Luigi Mangione's potential extradition to New York to face a murder charge in connection with the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a furious Mangione let media heckle him outside a Pennsylvania courthouse.

“It’s completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people. It’s lived experience!” Mangione shouted as he was led in shackles from a police car into the Blair County Court in Hollidaysburg.

Two cops grabbed the 26-year-old, who fought against their grip and screamed at TV cameras before forcing him into the building. Prior to being hurried inside, his chest ricocheted against the building's wall.

Mangione refused bail and argued against being sent to New York.

According to authorities, the extradition procedure to New York may now take several days or perhaps weeks. Examining what they describe as a mass of evidence, investigators are attempting to fill in the blanks of his voyage and ascertain if he acted alone.

The 26-year-old was apprehended five days after the shooting after a customer noticed him at a McDonald's in Altoona, some 300 miles from the shooting location in Midtown Manhattan.
