A Pennsylvania shooting suspect is holed with hostages in New Jersey after killing three people, according to an official
Local authorities say a Trenton, New Jersey, man locked himself in a residence after shooting three people in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, Saturday morning.
Police say 26-year-old Andre Gordon killed three people at two Pennsylvania residences before carjacking a vehicle and driving to New Jersey. He locked himself in a Trenton home. The residents of the home were safely evacuated, said New Jersey police.
Falls Township Police were called to investigate a shooting on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown about 9 a.m.
At a Saturday afternoon news conference, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said Gordon, who was driving a stolen car, shot and killed his 52-year-old stepmother Karen Gordon and his 13-year-old sister Kera Gordon at their home Schorn said three others in the home hid from Gordon during the incident.
Gordon then shot and killed 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, his partner and father of two, at Edgewood Lane. Schorn said four others were inside the residence, including Daniel's mother, who Gordon hurt and is being treated at a local hospital.
Police say Gordon carjacked a 44-year-old driver at gunpoint at the Dollar General parking lot on Bristol Pike in Morrisville after the gunshots. Police reported no injuries to the motorist. Falls Township Police said the carjacked Honda CRV was abandoned in Trenton at 11:38 a.m.
“The suspect is believed to be in a house on Phillips Ave in Trenton,” Trenton Police Detective Lt. Lisette Rios said. “The residents have been successfully evacuated with no injuries.
According to police, Gordon is 6'1" and slender. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
“He is believed to be in possession of an assault rifle which he used to commit these crimes. It is believed that Gordon may be in possession of additional weapons,” the Falls Township Police statement adds.
Authorities said Pennsylvania State Police are helping with the investigation.
Gov. Josh Shapiro said in an X post that he has been “briefed on the developing incident” and advised residents to “shelter in place and listen to law enforcement’s direction.”
