Donald Trump's sister Maryanne Trump Barry passes away at age 86

At the age of 86, Maryanne Trump Barry, a retired federal judge and the elder sister of former president Donald Trump, passed away at her New York residence.

A tier below the Supreme Court, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is where Barry served as a senior judge until her retirement in 2019.

Just before 4:30 a.m., the NYPD revealed, officers were dispatched to Barry's Manhattan residence where they found the body of an 86-year-old woman. It wasn't immediately apparent what caused the fatality.

In 1974, Barry started working as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and was nominated by former President Ronald Reagan to the federal court in New Jersey. This was prior to Barry becoming a judge. Later, former President Bill Clinton promoted her to the U.S. Court of Appeals. Amidst an inquiry into her family's tax affairs, she announced her retirement in 2019.

Elizabeth Trump Grau is the only surviving sibling of Trump, who was born into a family of five.

After Robert Trump, the former president's younger brother, passed away in 2020 at the age of 71, Trump hosted a memorial service in the White House for him. Fred Trump Jr., his older brother, passed away at the age of 42 from a heart attack, which the family attributed to drunkenness.

The Daily Voice of Nassau County broke the initial news of Barry's passing.
