In the Mojave Desert, a helicopter carrying six people crashes during the night

A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) statement states that a six-person helicopter crashed Friday night in the Mojave Desert close to the California-Nevada border.

As of right now, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has not found any survivors. "We are unable to verify the number of individuals on board or their identities," the department stated.

Around 10 p.m. local time on Friday, the FAA reports that the helicopter crashed close to Nipton, California. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the agency said they will look into it.
