Shooting in a crowded New York club leaves 3 dead, 9 wounded

Police confirmed Sunday that three people died and nine others were hurt in a shooting at a Brooklyn nightclub overnight. There were more than one shooter.
Jessica Tisch, the New York Police Commissioner, revealed during a press conference that the shooting happened inside the Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights district.
Tisch stated that calls came in at 3:27 a.m. about a gunshot at the club, and police were there in minutes.
Tisch told reporters, "What we know so far is that there was a fight in the crowded club that led to the shooting." “We believe that there were up to four shooters involved in this incident.”
No one was arrested right away. Tisch called the murders "a tragic, senseless act of violence" at a press conference.
The police said the gunmen fired 9-millimeter and .45-caliber pistols following a “dispute” inside the bar, Taste of the City Lounge at 903 Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights, about 3:30 a.m. On Sunday, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed that nine males and three women were shot. Their ages ranged from 19 to 61. Three men were killed, ages 19, 27 and 35, the police said.
Tisch stated that the people who were hurt on Sunday were getting treatment in hospitals for injuries that weren't life-threatening.
Mayor Eric Adams said he was worried that there may be assaults in response to the incident. Crisis management teams have been mobilized in the community, he added.
“Gun violence of this magnitude, it really scars a community and a city,” Adams said.
