Responding to a domestic violence call in Minnesota, two police officers and one firefighter were killed, the shooter also died

The governor of the state reported that following their response to a domestic incident on Sunday in Burnsville, Minnesota, two police officers, a firefighter, and other officers were injured.

Terrible information from Burnsville. While responding to a call of a family in danger, two police officers and one firefighter lost their lives, and other officers were injured,” Gov. Tim Walz posted online.

“We must never take for granted the bravery and sacrifices our police officers and first responders make every day. The whole State of Minnesota is standing with Burnsville today, and my heart is with their families," stated Walz.

Walz claimed that other cops had been hurt, but he did not specify what the injuries were. The state's department of public safety released a statement stating that the shooter in this case has also died.

Following reports of local police officers engaged in a "domestic-related shooting," agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were dispatched to the scene, as the agency had earlier announced.

The distance between Burnsville and Minneapolis is about 15 miles south.
