Following Palestinian violence, Israel attacks Gaza for the second time in two days

According to the Israeli army, on Saturday, Israeli warplanes struck a militant location in Gaza for the second time in as many days. This came after Palestinian demonstrators threw stones and bombs at soldiers stationed at the separation fence, and Palestinian protesters launched incendiary balloons into Israeli farms.

No injuries from the strikes in Gaza were reported. Three Palestinians were hurt earlier on Saturday when three of them were rallying at the fence separating the populated area from Israel. This was done by the Israeli military. Palestinians in Gaza, who are protesting a 16-year siege imposed by Israel with assistance from Egypt, are no strangers to this technique. According to Israel, the blockade is necessary to stop the violent Hamas organization in power from equipping itself.

Since Hamas seized control of the region, Israel and Hamas have fought four major wars as well as several minor skirmishes.
