According to the IDF, Hamas abducted 222 persons during their murderous invasion into Israel
The Israel Defense Forces report that after Hamas's horrific attack on Israel on October 7, the organization held 222 individuals captive. This comes as international attempts to free the kidnapped are intensifying.
Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari stated, "The number is being updated and changed in accordance with intelligence, but also due to the fact there are a significant number of foreign citizens."
Two American hostages, Judith Tai Raanan and her 17-year-old daughter Natalie Raanan, were freed by Hamas on Friday.
Israeli officials claim that during Hamas' massive incursion, around 1,400 people were murdered, including both military and civilians. It was the deadliest terrorist strike in Israel's seventy-five-year history and exposed a startling lack of intelligence on the part of the nation's security services.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israel has since unleashed a devastating torrent of airstrikes on the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, killing 4,651 and injured 14,245 civilians. Over 1,900 children have died as a result of the bombardment, which has also resolved the dire humanitarian situation in the enclave.
