Tesla has recalled almost 700,000 vehicles over a tire pressure light problem.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall in a letter on Thursday, affecting 694,304 vehicles, including Tesla's Cybertruck, Model 3, and Model Y.

According to the NHTSA, the recalled cars' tire pressure monitoring system "may not remain illuminated between drive cycles, failing to warn the driver of low tire pressure." The fault might result in driving with underinflated tires, increasing the danger of an accident.

To address the issue, Tesla is providing free over-the-air (OTA) software updates to owners.

Letters to owners are planned to be mailed on February 15, 2025.

This is not the manufacturer's first recall.

This year, the electric vehicle company has faced with a number of additional recalls, including seven for its Cybertruck model alone. In November, 2,431 Cybertruck models were recalled because of a malfunctioning drive inverter, which might result in a loss of drive power to the wheels and increase the danger of an accident.

In July, almost 1.85 million Tesla cars were recalled due to worries about a hood problem that might lead to an accident.

Tesla also recalled over 2 million vehicles in February owing to a possible threat caused by safety warning signals shown in a reduced font size.

While Tesla has documented no collisions, injuries, or fatalities as a result of this flaw, the company has received 76 warranty claims and one field report as of December 13.
