The FDA has issued the highest-risk alert for the pancake mix recall

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has elevated the recall of pancake and waffle mixes marketed in 11 states to the most serious level.
Quaker Oats Co. recalled 10,000 boxes of pancake mix because they contained milk that was not mentioned on the label, which might induce potentially deadly allergic reactions.
The recall is classified high-risk because using or being exposed to a product that violates the law can have significant health implications, including death in certain situations, according to the FDA.
People with allergies or sensitivities to milk could develop a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the recalled mix. The business stated that no adverse responses to the recall had been documented. Consumers who experience such circumstances should reject the goods.
According to the FDA classification update, 10,000 containers of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix were first recalled and sent to retailers in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Utah, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Wisconsin. The code date for the recalled pancake and waffle mix is BBD SEP 13 25 P, and the UPC number is 30000 65040.
The product was available for purchase beginning November 18, 2024. The recall does not include any other Quaker Oats Company or Pearl Milling Company products.
Because to undeclared milk in a limited number of boxes, Quaker Oats Company has recalled its Original Pancake & Waffle Mix.
