Maren Morris files for Ryan Hurd's divorce

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd filed for divorce after five years due to “irreconcilable differences” in their relationship.

Morris filed the divorce case in Nashville circuit court on Oct. 2, saying the pair has been separated since. March 2018 marked their marriage.

Morris and Hurd have resided in Nashville with their 3-year-old son Hayes since birth.

The filing states that Morris and Hurd “are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife and are experiencing irreconcilable differences in their marriage.” Morris also submitted confirmation of her parenting seminar completion, a divorce requirement.

The Grammy-winning Texas native is best known for blockbuster country hits including “The Bones,” “My Church,” and her 2018 dance hit “The Middle” with EDM DJ Zedd, which proved Morris' artistic talents went beyond genre and propelled her into the pop mainstream.

She joined country supergroup The Highwomen in 2019. She quit country music recently.
