Actor of "Blade Runner" and "Blood Simple," M. Emmet Walsh, Dies at 88
The renowned actor M. Emmet Walsh, whose roles included "Blade Runner," "Blood Simple," and "Knives Out," has away. He was eighty-eight.
Sandra L. Joseph, Walsh's manager, verified the news, stating that the actor passed away on Tuesday at a Vermont hospital following a heart arrest.
The heavyset, ham-faced Walsh frequently portrayed good-old boys with evil purpose, as demonstrated by one of his rare main parts in the 1984 neo-noir "Blood Simple," in which he played a dishonest Texas private investigator.
He was also in high demand as a voice actor, having provided the voices for "The Iron Giant" and "Pound Puppies" in addition to narrating Ken Burns' films on "The Civil War" and "Baseball."
