Eminem unveils "Houdini," the first track from his forthcoming album
Eminem finally put out the video for "Houdini," the first song from his new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
“Houdini” begins with a nod to his 2002 hit “Without Me,” featuring the recurring lyrics “guess who’s back,” reminiscent of the opening of the song from The Eminem Show. The new music video, released on Friday, showcases Eminem and Dr. Dre dressed as the superhero characters from the 2002 track.
The video also includes cameo appearances by 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and comedians Pete Davidson and Shane Gillis.
The chorus samples Steve Miller Band’s 1982 hit “Abracadabra,” adding a playful twist to the song.
“Houdini” serves as the first single from his upcoming album, which Eminem announced during the NFL Draft in his hometown of Detroit.
While the release date for The Death of Slim Shady has not yet been revealed, the album is anticipated to drop this summer.
