1 dead, at least 12 injured in shooting at a party in Oklahoma City
A shooting at a party in Oklahoma City early Saturday killed one person and injured at least 12, according to authorities.
A "disturbance" at the events center where the party was hosted resulted in many bullets fired both inside and outside the building, according to an Oklahoma City Police Department spokesperson. It is unclear at this moment what caused the shooting.
Several people have been detained in connection with the shooting but the "suspects are unknown at this time," the spokesperson said.
"We are in the process of interviewing witnesses," police said. "We will provide more details when we get them."
One person was pronounced deceased and 12 others were shot and transported to local hospitals.
The current state of the 12 shots ranges from minor to critical.
The suspects fired weapons during the shooting.
The cause of the altercation and the number of victims that were shot are unknown.
