A flash flood warning has been issued for portions of Los Angeles County in the west and center

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for portions of central and western Los Angeles County, which includes parts of the city of Los Angeles.

The affected areas are as follows:

    Malibu
    Santa Monica
    Beverly Hills
    Burbank
    Hollywood
    Venice
    Santa Monica

The weather service reports that "between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen" and that "additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area."

The service reports that flash flooding is either already occurring or is predicted to happen soon.

The warning for flash flooding is in force until midnight local time on Monday, March 3rd, ET.
